My Lucky 5-Leaf Clover

I was outside enjoying nature this past beautiful Sunday. The sun was shining, the sky was clear and had a delightful breeze (the kind that’s not too much, but just the right amount). Picking wild flowers with my little girl and came across a ‘clover patch’. So, of course, I’m looking for the rare 4 leaf clover. After all, I could use a little bit of luck, couldn’t we all?

Low and behold I found not just a 4 leaf clover, but a 5 leaf clover! That’s suppose to be even luckier and rarer than the 4 leaf. Now, it’s almost like being in Vegas, you win and you think every turn may produce another ‘cha-ching’! I looked and looked but there were only 3 leaf clovers in abundance. So, I gladly take my little extra lucky 5 leaf clover and hope that it brings me all below, that the legends say it may…(according to Wikipedia)….

The four-leaf clover is an uncommon variation of the common, three-leaved clover. According to tradition, such leaves bring good luck to their finders, especially if found accidentally. According to legend, each leaf represents something: the first is for faith, the second is for hope, the third is for love, and the fourth is for luck. It has been estimated that there are approximately 10,000 three-leaf clovers for every four-leaf clover. A five-leaved clover is even luckier than a four-leaved one. Five-leaf clovers are less commonly found naturally than four-leaf clovers.
